White Noise | OOTW

This week's outfit was a difficult one to pin down. With the weather changing every minute resulting in several outfit changes a day, there were just too many to chose from! So, I decided to go for the one I was most excited for. Hello silver skirt and white creeper sandals!

The Timeless Three | OOTW

Yet another week has passed. This one, just as the other's these past months, was packed. I started the week out in sunny Paris wearing dresses and shorts. However, when the weather turned a bit grey, I found myself in a somewhat classic smart outfit. My somewhat masculine fashion sense was satisfied, and so, I ended up wearing this combo to the Antwerp Fashion Festival fashion show.

La Vie En Rose | OOTW

Let's put on our rose coloured sunglasses for this week's outfit, because I'm having the best summer you could possibly imagine. I have road tripped through France, I have visited many cities, I have just come back from my trip to London (where I bought this pretty dusky pink dress ... and maybe some other bits as well) and soon I'll be off to Paris! But first, let's have a look at this week's outfit!

Fringe Fest | OOTW

I've been all about my fringes this week. Fringes on my shoes, fringes on my jacket. Yes, please! My obsession with fringes started this past fall when they were all that. I am aware that they have past a bit by now, but when I saw these items in the sales, I couldn't help but get them anyway. Let's have a look at this week's outfit!

Bralettes | A Sheer Obsession

Bralettes have been appearing more and more outside of the bedroom lately. They are no longer just a way of surprising your partner after a long day. but have become a sneaky way of spicing up a simple everyday outfit.

I'm a Proud Ladybug

Meet my ladybug shirt. This is one of the few clothing items that makes me feel good, without having to conform to society’s norms of the beautiful sexy woman. Don’t get me wrong, I like wearing pretty dresses and high heels, but there is something special about wearing a button down shirt, smart shoes and plain black pants and stil being able to rock your strut.

Normcore Uniforms | Identity Crisis Averted

According to some very fancy psychologists, millennials are going through an identity crisis as a result of our quickly changing world without the stereotypical role models. Are normcore, trends and the concept of millennials giving us our sense of belonging back?

'She is wearing a hat!' | The Charlie Bowler

A hat. What do you think? Is it supercilious or is it just another way to make your outfit more interesting? I often feel like you can’t just wear a hat because you feel like wearing a hat. A hat is loud. It screams ‘I am wearing a hat!’ It all seems very obvious and in your face. Not very Jana to be honest. But, I bought this hat for a reason and it’s not going to fulfill its life purpose by collecting dust in my wardrobe. So, throw me a cane and get out of my way, because I’m Charlie Chaplining throughout my day!

The Grown Up Jelly Shoe | Creeper Sandals

A series of exams, my new-found obsession with the Man Repeller and a serious case of retail therapy might have led to some new purchases. Say hi to these new babies: my very first pair of creeper sandals. They are white, loud and understated all at the same time. And yes, creeper sandals are pretty much jelly sandals for grown ups. Nothing wrong with a little 90s fever.

Ruffle Rumble

This tomboy is making her way into girlines with this spring-summer trend: ruffles! I used to avoid ruffles like there was no tomorrow. An expression of disgust would adorn my face every time my mom would try to get me to put on a frilly ruffle-y dress. What can I say? I just have always liked a simpler minimal look. However, now ruffles are back - and I am actually picking out my own clothes - I seem to have found a piece of clothing combining my minimal style and my secret love for some ruffles here and there

The Perfect Pair of Jeans | A Long Legs Victory

The search for a new pair of jeans is never an easy one. Combine that with long legs, wide hips and a tiny waist and it because pretty much impossible. Luckily after many shopping trips – poor me :p – I found two pairs that fit me like a glove. These are my perfect pairs of jeans and how I found them.

How To: Side Split Blouse

Ever since this winter, the side split blouse has been appearing in stores left, right and center. Sadly, I haven’t seen them actually being worn too much. This isn’t too much of a surprise since it’s a lot different from last year’s crop tops and not the easiest piece to style. Want to know some ways to pull this fashion trend off? Let’s have a look at some!

The Neckerchief | Throwback Trend

Now we know the choker has made its way back to us from the nineties, but now its close relative has arrived as well. The neckerchief is back in all its glory. From the office to a festival, this accessory is fail-proof. Time to get sailor chic with this one. Ahoy captain.

TOMBOY DRESS UP | Dungaree Dress

Being a tomboy by nature, I have never been one for dresses or skirts. The times I did wear one, it was mainly because of silly gender roles and a stupid will to fit in. This dungaree dress however complements my not so girly personality perfectly. It’s a plain black denim dress with a minimalist seventies feel. And I have been all about those seventies lately. Not the in your face floral print kind, but more so a dialed down minimal version. After all, I do have to brave the streets and stares of 2k16.

70s Minimalism | Try-on haul

After winter that did not seem to end, it was time for a big spring clean-up. I reorganized my wardrobe and threw out any fall/winter item I didn’t get to wearing this past season. As I went through my clothes I noticed some key pieces missing as well as some well-loved pieces falling apart. It was high time for some replacements and a few new bits. There is definitely a 70s minimalist vibe to this one. Enjoy.

River Island - A Low End Quality Bag

I have got a new baaag! This one was a long time coming. The bag I was using, I bought on a whim in Primark and had lost all shape it ever had. So, I went to my favorite store to buy bags, River Island, and got myself a new one.
