The NYX liquid lipsticks have been riding the
hype train like there is no tomorrow. I couldn’t help but join in on the fun.
So, I got myself three shades in two different formulas. Amethyst and Stone Fox
from the Liquid Suede range and Beauty Mark from the Lingerie range. Let’s put
these babies to the test!
Formula
From the getgo, the difference in formula
between these two ranges proved huge. Lingerie is super dry, but has amazing
staying power. Liquid Suede on the other hand, seems to be it’s complete
counter part. The lipsticks are nice and creamy, but the staying power is a lot
less as well.
Coverage
It’s no secret that NYX have an insane amount
of fun shades. From lime green to the blackest of blacks, they have it all. But
how’s the coverage? As you can see from the swatches, the color pay-off between
the two ranges is very different. The Lingerie range applies very lightly, but
since the formula dries quickly, it’s easy to build up coverage. The Liquid
Suede range on the other hand has amazing color pay-off. I tend to do my entire
lips in one application. No need to go in a second time.

Verdict
The lipsticks are amazing for their low price
(€8,30). The color range is immense and there is even more to come! The
metallic shades are already out in the US and we Europeans can’t wait to get
our hands on those beauties.
For all of you Kylie fans out there, there are
some really pretty nudy browns as well. So, if you can’t seem to get your hands
on the Kylie lip kits, fake it 'till you make it with the NYX ones!
